NYDA To Brief Parliament On Its Annual Report

CAPE TOWN: NYDA board chairperson Sifiso Mtsweni is expected to lead the Agency’s delegation in Cape Town on Tuesday.

The National Youth Development Agency is expected to brief Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration and Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation on Tuesday on its 2017/18 annual report. 

The briefing comes after the Agency achieved its fourth successive clean audit outcome this year. In a statement issued by the Agency, it said; “Executive Board Chairperson, Mr Sifiso Mtsweni, Deputy Chairperson Ms Bavelile Hlongwa and Chief Executive Officer will brief the Committee on the progress report regarding the implementation of the recommendations contained in the budget reports Vote 08 &12.”

“The Agency’s briefing comes after it achieved its fourth successive clean audit outcome in the last financial year,” the statement said. 

The clean audit comes after the youth agency held successful events, where it celebrated the June Month across the country and hosted its first BRICS Youth Summit in July. 

Mtsweni is expected to lead the Agency’s delegation in Cape Town on Tuesday.
